seasons change

Hi it's me. Bringing back the fashion blog.

I've been busy taking time to settle into life without owning a retail business, and I'm not going to lie - I really love it. Everyone asks me if I'm ok, or say "oh my goodness I'm so sorry".

Here’s the thing about creatives...

Inspiration and ideas can pop off at any given time. Our minds need time to rest, recharge, be with our people, and also be alone. Be in nature, meditate, workout, walk, look at the sky, swim in the ocean, feel the sand on our feet, smell a flower. Otherwise - our minds fuse up, and we start to forget the power we have. At least that's my mind. And let's face it, you came to read this because I wrote it. So, let's be real.

The burnout is real. The grind is real. The going through the motions is real, until one day you wake up and say - wait a minute - what is this all for?

I became a part of the fashion industry at a very young age. I saw things that other kids didn’t. My imagination was wild, and fashion became a creative outlet for me. Over the years I've witnessed the ebbs and flows of the industry. There's been times that I've physically cried when a creative designer passes away. Why? Because it always feels like a little bit of the magic is dying. First it was the online industry, now AI. And I can assure you - these are my words being typed on this blog, not a robot.

But anytime the industry shifts, so do the "trends".

So, what is Meadow?

Meadow is timeless. Meadow is handmade. Meadow is sustainable and uses fabrics that already exist on the planet. Meadow is wearable high fashion. Meadow is one brain, creating one of a kind pieces for those who appreciate the true art of the industry. Meadow is for those who want to feel the best version of themselves, live beautifully and with intention.

The truth is, I could go on and on about what Meadow has become. At its core, it's always been the same. Living a "Beautiful Life". Which I legit have tattooed, in my own handwriting, on my lower Britney area. If you were to ask someone I went to high school with, what I was like - not much has changed. I've been able to stay true to myself somehow, and that hasn't always been easy.

This blog has been created so that I can express my own take on fashion, life & style, and connect with you all again. One of the things I miss the most about owning the shop is the incredible conversations with my clients. The good news is that you can still find me at Believe a few times a week and treat yourself in a new way. Rest your mind and take care of you for a hot minute. Which we all need to do more of.

Seasons change, and although I'm not much of a fall girly, the fashion still hits. Lots of texture, statement jackets, good boots, and bring on all the cozy fur, animal print, and plaid. For me it's always about the vintage fringe jackets, and all the western details. Don't be afraid to express yourself, combine pieces, and play dress up. Because after all, fashion is supposed to be fun.

Working on a killer collection for you.

happy monday, talk soon
